日本の伝統技法で丁寧に作られた着物を洋服や小物に生まれ変わらせてもう一度活かせることが出来たら… 専業主婦として日々の暮らしの中で行っていた“もったいない”がこの活動を通して日本が好きな方々に届いて喜んでいただけたら嬉しいです。

U stands for “U+Kobo,” a name with many meanings.
If I could breathe new life into kimonos—carefully crafted using traditional Japanese techniques—by transforming them into Western-style clothing and accessories… I would be delighted if the spirit of “mottainai” (not wanting to waste anything), which I practiced in my daily life as a full-time homemaker, could reach and bring joy to those who love Japan through this project.
