As a university staff member, I serve as the Chairperson and Administrative Director of Re:Born Japan. While cherishing the connections I make with people and the insights I gain, I am working to promote the MOTTAINAI spirit.
My dream for the future is to expand the program I developed in Yamaguchi and “Grow up HEROs in Indonesia.”

Our philosophy is “to create moments of relaxation through the essence of beauty and healing.” Inspired by my child’s experience with atopic dermatitis, I developed pufferfish collagen products without compromising on ingredients. I'm currently developing a hypoallergenic liquid soap that harnesses the moisturizing properties of rice bran oil—the foundation of my parenting journey.

I create works that pay homage to the beauty and history of kimonos that have stood the test of time, bridging the Japanese spirit to modern life.

U stands for “U+Kobo,” a name with many meanings.
If I could breathe new life into kimonos—carefully crafted using traditional Japanese techniques—by transforming them into Western-style clothing and accessories… I would be delighted if the spirit of “mottainai” (not wanting to waste anything), which I practiced in my daily life as a full-time homemaker, could reach and bring joy to those who love Japan through this project.

Through ancestral memorial services, I cherish the continuity of life and breathe new life into kimonos and obi sashes by transforming them into bags. By giving tangible form to prayer and rebirth, I pass on the spirit of Japan to future generations.
